Commitment Sunday

Four weeks ago we announced the capital initiative that we are calling “For the Next One” and the response has been incredible! 159 households have set goals totaling $2,616,675!

THIS SUNDAY is being called COMMITMENT SUNDAY.

If you are one of those people, THANK YOU for taking the step of faith and seeking God in how you can help us to build the much-needed facilities that God will use to reach generations to come!

Maybe you are someone who has been praying about the role you will play. Would you please consider bringing your goal card this Sunday?

THIS SUNDAY is the day that we turn in our goal cards and bring our first (and best) gift possible.

Four of us traveled to Oklahoma last week to meet with Churches By Daniels, the design-build firm that we have been working with on this project. They told us that the Design Documents are near completion and they expect to be out here in December to secure building permits and to begin talking with sub-contractors.

We plan to take the pledges through Commitment Sunday to prospective lenders to see if we are indeed able to break ground early in 2027 which will allow us to possibly be in the new building by the end of 2028.

Isn’t that incredible?!?

I am hopeful that we won’t have to borrow $6M and that the $47,000 a month that it would take to service that loan could flow to ministry and outreach instead (what an ROI that would be!).  While we won’t know the actual cost of the building until bids have been received, it’s looking like God is doing the miracle in response to our steps of faith that we have taken.

Then we look forward to Sunday, November 8 which we are calling CELEBRATION SUNDAY where the results are shared and please keep praying that God will . . .
